Jean Monnet Center of Excellence "Artificial Intelligence and Communication in a Digitalised European Democracy” (“AI-CoDED”) aims to establish an interdisciplinary facility for research, teaching and debate focused on legal, socio-economic and political issues arising from the use of artificial intelligence in business, political and public communication.

Through a multilevel, interdisciplinary approach, the Centre aims to analyse the EU's objectives, functions, and policies related to these issues. This requires a comprehensive understanding and generates knowledge that can contribute to EU policymaking.

The Centre also aims to strengthen the EU's role in a globalised world, promote dialogue between academia and society, and ensure active outreach and education to disseminate knowledge of EU issues to wider society and bring the EU closer to the public.
